A legal services provider specializing in family law is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney with extensive experience in California family law. This fully remote role focuses on practicing law with minimal administrative duties, offering flexibility and autonomy. Occasional in-person court appearances in the San Francisco Bay Area may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including contested custody, support, and property division cases.
- Manage caseload efficiently to ensure timely and effective resolution of legal issues.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff using digital case management and trial preparation tools.
- Participate in professional development activities such as CLEs, webinars, or publishing thought leadership.
- Build strong client relationships through compassionate communication and strategic advocacy.
- Mentor junior attorneys and potentially take on leadership roles within the firm.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience practicing family law in California.
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Proven track record managing contested custody, support, and property division cases.
- Excellent communication skills: clear, confident, and compassionate.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high ethical standards.
- Comfortable with digital case management systems and structured processes.
- Motivated by delivering excellent client outcomes rather than billable hours.
- Desire to share knowledge and mentor junior staff.
