Environmental/Toxic Tort Attorneys

Overview

The organization is seeking multiple Environmental/Toxic Tort Attorneys for its Northern California offices. These roles may be remote (work from home) or hybrid.

This position involves high-stakes litigation with complex scientific and environmental issues, including writing and arguing significant motions and taking depositions.

Responsibilities

• Handle substantive environmental and toxic tort litigation matters
• Take depositions and participate in court proceedings
• Write and argue motions in court
• Work with limited supervision when needed while remaining a team player
• Engage in significant case work that may include hearings, depositions, and trials
• Contribute to case strategy in areas such as the following subject matters:
  • CERCLA
  • RCRA
  • Silica
  • Talc & asbestos
  • Nuisance & trespass
  • Complex litigation
  • Tort and products liability
  • General environmental and toxic tort

Requirements

• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience (up to 3–8 years) including taking depositions and/or arguing motions in court
• Licensed and admitted to practice in California
• Strong academic credentials
• Self-starter who is ready to handle cases with limited supervision
• Team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Cannabis experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary pay range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $275,000.00 /Yr.
• Compensation and bonus eligibility may include:
  • Eligibility for both discretionary and performance-based bonuses
  • Student loan repayment assistance
• Base salary ranges by approximate experience level:
  • Associates (approximately 1–6+ years): $100,000–$165,000
  • Senior Counsel/Of Counsel (approximately 5 years or more): $140,000–$215,000
  • Partners (approximately 7 years or more): $190,000–$275,000+
• Actual compensation is tailored to the individual and may vary based on experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
