Overview
A fast-growing New York-based law firm specializing in real estate and default services is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join their expanding team. The firm provides legal services across seven states and values individuals who take ownership of their work and contribute to the firm's progress.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other related materials.
- Perform e-filing with various court systems.
- Record legal documents as required.
- Maintain client and case files accurately.
- Communicate with clients, providing updates and timely responses.
- Manage and maintain filing and document systems.
- Organize and maintain group calendars, ensuring adherence to legal deadlines.
- Archive documents related to ongoing and completed litigations.
- Prepare reports for attorneys.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related foreclosure experience.
- Broad knowledge of real estate default services.
- Experience with LPS, Caseaware, Tempo, or similar software is a plus.
- Superior organizational, research, and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to manage a heavy workload.
- Comfortable and confident communicating on the phone.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
