Overview

An organization is seeking an Export Counsel to join their International Trade and Regulatory team. This role involves advising clients on U.S. export compliance, licensing, and international shipping regulations. The position requires close collaboration with global businesses to ensure adherence to export controls while facilitating cross-border trade.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate export-related contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide legal guidance on export controls, licensing requirements, and international trade compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients on export strategies and global supply chain compliance.
  • Manage legal issues related to export compliance for clients in technology, manufacturing, and aerospace sectors.
  • Monitor global regulatory changes to provide timely guidance on export matters.

Requirements

  • Proven experience advising on U.S. export regulations, licensing, and international trade compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent.
  • Licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology, healthcare/pharma, aerospace, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with multinational corporate operations and cross-border agreements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year.
  • Compensation for non-attorney roles ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year.
  • Compensation decisions are based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
