Florida Title Examiner (Remote)

Overview

This remote position can be performed from anywhere in the United States, but Florida title examination experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform title examination and examine the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily residential.
• Abstract and analyze records, including mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books, to determine ownership, legal restrictions, and to verify the legal description of property and completeness of records.
• Resolve most issues such as missing information, incomplete information, inaccurate information, or contradictory information contained in title documentation.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines.
• Prepare and review reports for accuracy.
• May provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of Florida Title Examination experience.
• State license(s) if required.
• Detail/quality orientation.
• Analytical review skills.
• Research and investigative skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer service orientation.
• Standard MS skill set.
• Proficient with company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terms helpful.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.37 - $31.15 Hourly, Remote
