Funds Attorney - Remote

Overview

This contract role is for a Funds Attorney to work remotely on a part-time basis. The position involves contributing legal expertise to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems focused on contract review and negotiation within the technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI-generated responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to enhance model accuracy and legal judgment.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to rigorously assess AI performance on contract-related tasks.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review tools.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
• Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
