Overview
The organization is seeking an attorney with significant experience handling real estate finance and private lending transactions to work on a part-time contract basis as General Counsel for a Nevada-based residential and commercial mortgage company. Experience with Nevada transactions governed under Nevada Revised Statutes 645B is required.
Responsibilities
- Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of real estate financing transactions
- Handling and/or overseeing foreclosure proceedings
- Overseeing loan servicing and payoff administration
- Supporting compliance with loan origination documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Nevada mortgage transactions in a law firm or in-house setting
- Demonstrated experience with Nevada transactions governed under Nevada Revised Statutes 645B
- Excellent academic credentials from an U.S. accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in any state (with demonstrated expertise with Nevada transactions governed under Nevada Revised Statutes 645B)
- Outstanding references

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Annualized pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $230,000 on a full-time basis.
- Contract engagement pay is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
- In addition to pay, complimentary professional liability insurance coverage is provided for contract engagements.
