Overview
A leading provider of mission-critical background screening solutions is seeking a Global Contract Specialist to manage the entire lifecycle of client and vendor contracts. This role involves ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements while serving as a liaison between sales, procurement, and multiple global stakeholders.
This position is 100% remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Act as the contractual subject matter expert to ensure contract redlines are approved by all necessary parties and comply with business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all standard agreements and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to contract finalization.
- Assist sales and procurement teams with assembling documentation required for specialized services.
- Support client negotiations and serve as liaison between sales/procurement, global operations, and legal teams; represent the organization on client/vendor calls alongside legal.
- Draft routine contract language within established parameters and manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
- Conduct contract document administration, maintenance, and renewal reminders according to contract management database protocols.
- Deliver contract management knowledge sessions and refresher training.
- Support company or strategic projects from a contract management perspective.
- Assist corporate in-house counsel as needed.
- Provide direct supervision and development to entry-level professional contributors (e.g., Administrative Assistant or Associate Accountant).
- Collaborate with other business groups to support overall business performance.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, coordinating input from multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, demonstrating urgency, accuracy, and completeness.
- Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions, with proficiency in contract management principles and guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, negotiation capabilities, and stakeholder/customer management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and proofreading.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM tools and data management applications (e.g., Siebel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business Administration or a comparable discipline; Paralegal Certification or higher is a plus.
- Three to five years of corporate contracting experience, including at least two years involving sales of services.
- Proven skills in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining various contractual agreements such as Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Experience working in multinational companies and interacting within international cultural and work environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $60,000 to $70,000, tailored based on experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills.
