Overview
A confidential client is seeking a Global Head of Antitrust & Competition Law to lead their worldwide antitrust and competition strategy. This senior leadership role involves managing regulatory relationships, guiding the business through complex transactions, and mitigating competition-law risks across all markets.
Responsibilities
- Own the global antitrust and competition-law strategy and function.
- Manage relationships with antitrust regulators and competition authorities.
- Lead antitrust review and clearance strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and major transactions.
- Build and maintain enterprise-wide competition-law compliance programs.
- Assess and mitigate antitrust risk in commercial and pricing strategies.
- Advise the CEO, board, and General Counsel on antitrust risk and strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in antitrust, competition law, or regulatory legal leadership.
- Proven track record leading antitrust strategy through complex transactions.
- Deep expertise across multi-jurisdictional competition-law regimes.
- Experience building and leading antitrust or competition-law functions.
- Demonstrated sound judgment navigating high-stakes regulatory scrutiny.
- Strong executive presence with board- and investor-ready communication skills.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required; active bar membership mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing antitrust matters across multiple regulatory regimes globally.
- Background in clearing large, complex, or cross-border M&A transactions.
- Experience in highly regulated or high-scrutiny industries.
- Prior antitrust leadership experience in the relevant industry sectors.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $475,000 to $625,000, commensurate with skills, experience, and interview performance.
