- risk adjustment
- payer-provider contractual arrangements
- Act as the healthcare regulatory subject-matter expert supporting arbitration preparation, working alongside company leadership and outside litigation counsel.
- Review key documents, agreements, and factual positions through a regulatory lens and advise on how applicable rules and CMS guidance bear on issues in dispute.
- Develop and pressure-test regulatory arguments, identify strengths and vulnerabilities in the company’s positions, and translate complex regulatory concepts for the broader arbitration team.
- Provide practical, responsive guidance on related Medicare Advantage and value-based care regulatory questions as they arise during the engagement.

- payment structures
- risk-based contracting
- regulatory relationships between providers and payors
- Prior experience supporting disputes, arbitrations, or government inquiries from a regulatory perspective is a plus; this is a regulatory role, not a litigation role.
- Experience at a full-service or healthcare-focused law firm, or in-house with a health plan, value-based provider, or other healthcare organization.
- Ability to work independently, ramp up quickly, and deliver clear, practical analysis on a part-time schedule.
