Overview
This role involves working in a business immigration practice handling a full range of matters from intake through filing and beyond. The employer is seeking a Spanish-speaking Immigration Associate with 3+ years of U.S. business immigration experience and strong legal writing skills.
The position is available either in a hybrid format based out of the Miami, FL office or 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise high-quality immigration petitions and related legal documents
- Manage a diverse case load across the full case lifecycle for Ls, Es, and Os and their immigrant-visa counterparts, as well as PERMs
- Handle Hs, TNs, EB-5, and federal litigation matters
- Run your caseload with ownership and minimal need for supervision or constant follow-up
- Collaborate with team members and participate in mentorship
- Use AI-powered tools (including Claude and other AI tools) ethically and appropriately in an immigration practice
- Communicate with clients across the U.S. and Latin America in fluent English and Spanish, maintaining cultural fluency
Requirements
- J.D. and licensed in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Florida preferred)
- 3+ years of U.S. business immigration practice focusing on: Os, Ls, Es, EB-1A/Cs, PERMs, Hs, TNs, EB-5s, and federal litigation
- Fluent/proficient English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong legal writing skills with the ability to rewrite and refine work until it is right
- Comfort taking initiative, owning assignments, and resolving issues independently
- Interest in growing into leadership and helping shape the team as the practice continues to scale
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $120,000 to $160,000 (based on the level of independent work demonstrated)
