Overview
This contract role is for an experienced Immigration Attorney to handle individual immigration cases remotely within the U.S. The position offers pay-per-case compensation with potential earnings ranging from $200,000 to $300,000 or more, depending on caseload and case complexity. Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of practice experience are sought to take ownership of their cases from day one.
Responsibilities
- Manage individual immigration matters including O-1, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, H-1B, family-based, and marriage-based petitions.
- Maintain high standards of legal quality, client communication, and timely case management.
- Work autonomously with full case ownership, scaling complexity and volume according to experience.
- Collaborate with paralegals and clients through an automated platform that streamlines workflows and case tracking.
- Participate in feedback loops to improve filing quality and legal strategy.
- For senior attorneys, mentor junior colleagues and handle higher-complexity, higher-fee cases.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active U.S. bar admission.
- Experience with employment-based or extraordinary ability immigration petitions.
- Strong client communication skills and a commitment to high-quality service.
- Self-motivated with an ownership mindset.
- Ability to work as an independent contractor (1099).
- Commitment to rigorous service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mid-Level (4–6 years): Comfort with direct client communication and managing employment-based or extraordinary ability petitions.
- Senior (6+ years): Deep expertise in O-1, EB-1A, and/or EB-2 NIW strategies, ability to mentor junior attorneys, and capacity to manage a high-volume, high-quality docket.
Compensation & Benefits
