Overview
An organization is seeking experienced immigration attorneys to contribute their legal expertise to an innovative project focused on training next-generation AI systems. This role involves applying domain knowledge in immigration law to help shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and provide insights on complex immigration law scenarios to support data-driven project requirements.
- Draft, review, and refine legal documents, correspondence, and case summaries related to immigration cases.
- Assess the accuracy and clarity of AI-generated content concerning immigration law.
- Offer detailed feedback on nuanced legal concepts, terminology, and processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams through written and verbal communication to clarify intent and ensure legal accuracy.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project guidelines and evaluation criteria based on expert legal perspectives.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the overall quality of AI-driven legal outputs.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in the New York State Bar (or eligibility to practice in New York).
- Active license to practice law with a focus on immigration law.
- Advanced experience in U.S. immigration law, including complex case analysis and policy interpretation.
- Extensive experience managing a diverse range of immigration matters, including family-based, employment-based, and humanitarian cases.
- Proven ability to synthesize legal research into actionable, data-informed recommendations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal documents and provide actionable feedback.
- Familiarity with legal research tools, case management software, and document review platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering precise, well-reasoned legal content.
- Interest in technology-driven projects or prior participation in legal innovation initiatives is a plus.
