Overview
A Rhode Island-based immigration law firm with over a decade of experience is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team. The firm focuses on immigration defense and advocacy, representing clients in various immigration matters.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) during Master and Individual hearings, primarily handling EOIR-42B and I-589 cases
- Provide asylum representation, both affirmative and defensive
- Handle cases involving T Visas, U Visas, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions
- Manage family-based immigration applications including Green Cards and Naturalization processes (I-130, I-485, DS-260, I-751, N-400)
- Supervise interns and administrative staff
- Produce high-quality legal work including briefs and in-court advocacy
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school
- Admission to the Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts bar in good standing preferred; candidates admitted in other states will also be considered
- Fluency in Spanish
- Authorization to work in the United States
