Overview

A legal team specializing in immigration law is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their High-Skilled Immigration team. This role involves assisting clients across various industries such as technology, engineering, and bioscience with immigrant work visa matters. The position offers flexibility to work fully remotely within the United States or from offices located in Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI, with options for in-person or hybrid arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the High-Skilled Immigration Partner and Senior Attorneys to develop and implement legal strategies for work visa cases, including EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 NIW Green Cards, and O-1 visas.
  • Conduct detailed consultations with clients to explain visa application processes and gather necessary supporting documentation.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding application steps, timelines, and costs.
  • Prepare and file immigrant work visa applications with relevant government agencies, working alongside attorneys and case managers.
  • Draft responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government bodies.
  • Research and stay updated on immigration law developments related to work visa applications.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in any U.S. State Bar.
  • Open to candidates ranging from recent law graduates who have passed the Bar exam to experienced immigration attorneys.
  • Strong ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently while meeting strict legal deadlines.
  • Effective collaboration skills to work professionally with team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts for clients.
  • Patience and skill in conducting frequent educational communications with clients.
  • High attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
  • Commitment to delivering responsive and proactive client service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in immigration law is beneficial but not required.
