Overview
An established immigration law practice is seeking an experienced individual immigration attorney to join as a Practice Owner. This full-time, remote role (U.S.-based) offers a base salary plus profit sharing, with total compensation ranging from $200,000 to over $1 million annually depending on performance and client sourcing.
This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who have built their own immigration practice and want to scale further without the operational burdens of running a firm, such as overhead, hiring, marketing, and business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an individual immigration practice within a tech-enabled platform
- Serve as the public face of the practice, including participation in content creation, social media, client-facing materials, and press
- Build and develop a legal team, conducting case reviews and maintaining high standards of legal quality
- Ensure compliance with aggressive response time service level agreements (SLAs), rigorous legal quality standards, and high client satisfaction
- Leverage a professional network to generate referrals and grow the practice

- Base salary to provide financial stability during scaling
- Inbound client pipeline generated through the organization's marketing and business development efforts
- Purpose-built technology including:
- Automated workflows coordinating attorneys, paralegals, and clients
- Smart draft review systems tracking filing quality and providing feedback
- Unified context hub aggregating emails, meetings, and portal activity for case management
- Paralegal and operational support to allow attorneys to focus on legal work rather than project management
Compensation Structure
- For cases sourced through the organization: base salary plus profit share based on team performance
- For self-sourced cases: base salary plus a higher profit share, reflecting ownership of the client book and greater upside
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to a U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 7 years of immigration law experience, with a strong focus on individual and extraordinary ability cases
- Experience managing or mentoring legal teams
- Comfort with client-facing visibility, including thought leadership, social media presence, and media engagement
- Established professional network capable of generating referrals
- Entrepreneurial ambition with a desire to build and grow a practice beyond just practicing law
