Overview
A growing legal team is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal & Legal Writer to manage complex employment-based immigration cases. This role involves drafting visa petitions, writing persuasive legal documents, and collaborating across teams to improve workflows and legal technology platforms. The position focuses on employment-based visas such as O-1, EB-1, EB-2 NIW, H-1B, L-1A, TN, and E-2.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare visa petitions and applications including H-1B, L-1A, TN, E-2, O-1A, O-1B, EB-1, and EB-2 NIW.
- Write clear, compelling, and well-supported legal documents that effectively present each client’s case.
- Collaborate with supervising attorneys and the legal team to enhance case templates, protocols, and internal resources.
- Manage multiple cases and projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to improve the legal technology platform.
- Develop scalable and repeatable systems to clarify complex legal processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on talent visa cases, especially O-1, EB-1, and EB-2 NIW.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification.
- Strong writing skills with an interest in combining legal expertise and storytelling.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Proactive mindset toward improving systems and processes, including proposing and prototyping new ideas.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership over work.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across legal, product, engineering, and design teams.
