Overview

A prominent healthcare company is seeking a highly organized litigation paralegal to join their in-house legal team on a full-time, remote contract basis. This role involves managing a busy litigation inbox, calendaring important dates and deadlines, assisting with litigation management, and electronically filing documents. The position is ideal for candidates with plaintiff's firm and/or mass torts experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume litigation inbox and track important litigation dates and deadlines
  • Electronically file pleadings and other legal documents
  • Assist with medical chronologies and review of medical records
  • Assemble mediation binders and support attorneys preparing for mediation or arbitration
  • Maintain detailed and accurate litigation calendars
  • Communicate effectively with the legal team and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Experience managing a busy litigation inbox and calendaring for multiple litigation matters
  • Experience electronically filing pleadings
  • Prior experience assisting with medical chronologies and reviewing medical records
  • Familiarity with assembling mediation binders and understanding of the ADR process
  • Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree (relevant work experience may substitute)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills
  • Experience working remotely as a paralegal is a plus
  • Outstanding professional references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plaintiff's firms and/or mass tort litigation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized pay range: $75,000 to $78,000, based on experience and qualifications

Position Details

  • Employment type: Full-time contract engagement
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
