Overview

A rapidly growing organization is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to manage its personal injury litigation docket. This role is part of the Legal team’s Insurance Litigation group and involves close collaboration with in-house counsel, paralegals, claims, and safety teams.

The position is based in the Greater Chicago area, San Francisco area, or Tempe, AZ, with an expectation to work from the Chicago office on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the integrity of the personal injury litigation docket from case inception through completion
  • Manage a team of paralegals overseeing the personal injury docket
  • Retrieve documents via service of process and distribute them to appropriate stakeholders promptly
  • Support discovery processes including issuing legal holds, responding to subpoenas, and organizing case files
  • Improve workflows impacting quarterly financial reporting requirements
  • Partner with in-house legal team, outside counsel, insurance carriers, and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years managing a large docket of cases in a top law firm, in-house legal department, or similar environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and high emotional intelligence

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $94,600 to $139,000 USD, localized based on work location and determined by skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions

Paid Time Off Details

  • Salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year
  • Hourly roles: vacation accrued at approximately 1 hour per 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked
