Overview
The organization is seeking a dedicated, full-time Intake Advocate to serve as the first voice VIP referral-source clients hear and to support the firm’s intake team. This is a client-facing role where you will make a strong first impression, explain the firm’s process in plain English, answer questions honestly, and help confirm clients want to move forward.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for VIP referral-source clients, taking calls promptly so clients speak with a real person.
- Conduct brief, friendly intake calls (usually under ten minutes), introducing the firm, walking clients through what happens next, and answering questions clearly and honestly.
- Protect the integrity of every engagement by ensuring clients sign the required one-page digital agreement and personally speaking with the named client before the firm countersigns; contracts are not valid until countersigned.
- Serve as a resource to the intake team by lending an attorney’s judgment on questions that come up during intake.
- Hand new matters off cleanly to intake, the case-management team, and the attorney handling the file.
- Provide warmth, empathy, and professionalism on every call, recognizing clients are navigating a stressful claim.
Requirements
- J.D. from any accredited law school in any U.S. state.
- Option for in-person, hybrid, or full-remote work (location does not matter).
- Excellent phone presence and strong people skills; able to be warm, quick on your feet, and effective with people in a stressful moment.
- Ability to work at pace, handling intake calls throughout the day (with natural peaks in the afternoon and early evening).
- Sound judgment and strong ethical instincts, including the honesty to say when you don’t know an answer and find it.
- Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation that includes evenings and rotational weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus, as a meaningful portion of intake is Spanish-speaking.
