Overview
An organization is seeking an Intellectual Property Lawyer to support a diverse range of clients across various industries. This role involves providing expert legal advice and support on intellectual property matters, including contract drafting, negotiation, and IP strategy.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts related to intellectual property such as licenses, assignments, collaborations, settlements, confidentiality agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Advise on intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence and preparing related documentation.
- Provide support on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property issues across sectors, including licensing, brand protection, copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
- Assist product and business development teams by mitigating third-party IP risks and defining IP strategies aligned with market objectives.
Requirements
- Several years of post-qualification in-house legal experience, either directly or as a secondee.
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time.
- Strong academic credentials and relevant post-qualification experience.
- Excellent commercial understanding and interpersonal skills.
- Right to work in the UK and eligibility to practice law in the UK.
