Overview
Contract position for an Investment Funds Attorney to work remotely from any location. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents related to investment funds, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing fund-related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise fund documentation including offering documents, limited partnership agreements, and side letters
- Provide legal advice on fund structuring, regulatory compliance, and investor relations
- Collaborate with fund managers, compliance teams, and external counsel to address legal and operational challenges
- Conduct due diligence on fund investments and assess legal risks associated with fund transactions
- Stay current with evolving regulations affecting investment funds and private equity
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in a state bar association in the United States
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment funds, private equity, or related legal practice
- Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements
- In-depth knowledge of fund formation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $80 - $105
- Fully remote work from anywhere
