Labor And Employment Senior Litigation Attorney | PAGA Defense

Overview

This organization is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney with at least 8 years of litigation experience, including substantial experience handling PAGA actions and complex employment litigation.

• Location: Fully Remote — must reside in California
• Employment Type: Full-time, W-2
• Reports To: Managing Partner

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in PAGA, wage-and-hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases
• Serve as a lead attorney through all stages of litigation, including investigation, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediation, and trial strategy
• Advise clients on California Labor Code compliance and litigation risk
• Represent clients in individual and representative employment actions, including class actions and PAGA representative claims
• Draft high-quality legal documents, including demurrers, MSJs, oppositions, mediation briefs, and trial motions
• Collaborate with managing attorneys and associates to ensure efficient case strategy and execution
• Stay current on changes in California employment law, with an emphasis on PAGA enforcement and defense

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in labor and employment litigation in California
• Significant experience defending PAGA claims (please detail in your application)
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
• Proven track record in civil litigation, including successful motion practice, depositions, and courtroom appearances
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships
• Highly organized and able to manage a remote workload with autonomy and accountability

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $235,000 – $300,000, depending on experience and trial background
