Overview
A fully remote Labor & Employment Partner position is available for U.S.-based candidates. The salary range is $200,000 to $350,000 USD, plus bonuses and significant benefits.
This role involves representing employers exclusively in labor and employment matters, focusing on providing practical, business-oriented legal solutions. The approach emphasizes preventing legal issues through compliance audits, policy development, training, and proactive advice to avoid employee claims, lawsuits, government investigations, and union organizing activities.
The organization is an international law firm with over 600 attorneys across 38 U.S. offices and 3 offices in Mexico, practicing before state and federal courts and administrative agencies nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel to employers on labor and employment matters.
- Assist companies in maintaining compliance with environmental workplace safety regulations.
- Handle permitting processes and respond to challenges within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Develop and implement solutions aligned with clients' primary business objectives.
- Conduct compliance audits and provide policies, procedures, and training to prevent legal issues.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with clients, meeting deadlines and providing advance review time when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Experience as an environmental lawyer focusing on workplace safety compliance.
- Portable book of business valued at approximately $500,000 for Income Partner level or $1 million for Equity Partner level.
- Previous experience at AmLaw or boutique law firms is acceptable.
- U.S.-based and able to work fully remotely.
