Overview
A remote contractor opportunity is available for a Legal Consultant with expertise in corporate law, litigation, and regulatory compliance. This role involves applying legal knowledge to train advanced AI systems by providing real-world legal input that influences AI learning and reasoning across industries such as finance, healthcare, and engineering. No prior AI experience is required; legal domain expertise is the key qualification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed contract review, drafting, and negotiation to optimize business outcomes while managing legal and financial risks.
- Analyze legal cases and perform in-depth research to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support litigation and dispute resolution by preparing and reviewing legal documents and assisting internal and external counsel.
- Assess regulatory compliance and conduct due diligence for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Design system prompts and evaluation rubrics to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI models in legal reasoning.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, or regulatory compliance with a focus on real-world case analysis.
- Proven expertise in legal research, risk assessment, and dispute resolution within a corporate or enterprise setting.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards in legal practice and data handling.
- Ability to interpret complex legal principles and translate them into structured prompts and evaluation criteria for AI systems.
- Experience with due diligence processes, particularly related to mergers, acquisitions, or high-risk transactions.
- Familiarity with legal documentation preparation and litigation support workflows.
