Legal Expert | $55/hr Remote

Overview

This contract position seeks a Legal Expert to work remotely, dedicating 10-40 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $42 to $55 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate land control instruments including deeds, ground leases, rights of way, and easement agreements, focusing on term, exclusivity, and conveyance terms.
• Identify deficiencies, gaps, and execution issues within site control documentation packages.
• Organize and present findings in clear, standardized formats suitable for senior legal review.
• Support due diligence workflows by processing and annotating land and real estate documents.
• Flag non-compliant or incomplete filings based on project and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior reviewers to escalate and resolve complex document issues.

Requirements

• Strong relevant experience as a paralegal or legal document reviewer, preferably in energy, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
• Hands-on experience reviewing land control instruments such as deeds, ground leases, easements, and rights of way.
• Ability to assess term, exclusivity, and conveyance language in legal documents with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, document-intensive environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Right-of-Way Acquisition.
