Overview

This role involves serving as the legal operations paralegal, acting as the central coordinator for the legal department. The position manages the flow of legal information and requests across internal departments and external counsel, oversees contract lifecycle management, and maintains corporate records to ensure audit readiness. This role can be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the legal ticketing system as the first point of contact for internal departments such as Product, Sales, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Analyze incoming legal requests and route them to appropriate external specialist counsel (e.g., US Regulatory, IP Counsel).
  • Coordinate collection and delivery of corporate documentation for banking and payment processor partners.
  • Maintain a centralized, version-controlled library of licenses, disclosures, and filings related to Lending and Payroll products.
  • Perform detailed proofreading and initial reviews of vendor agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Manage the end-to-end e-signature process (e.g., Adobe Sign) and maintain a centralized repository of all executed agreements.
  • Support corporate secretarial functions, including maintaining corporate records, state registrations, and board-related documentation across all jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong familiarity with US Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), contracting principles, and corporate law.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in legal proofreading and document version control.
  • Experience handling highly sensitive corporate information with strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work autonomously as the sole internal legal resource with a proactive, builder mindset.
  • Technical proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk), e-signature platforms, and document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-house corporate experience at a Fintech, SaaS, or technology company.
  • Paralegal Certification by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).
  • Familiarity with financial regulations such as KYC/AML and Lending disclosures.
