Overview
A partner organization is seeking a Legal Specialist based in France to support international business operations by providing strategic legal guidance across intellectual property, commercial contracts, compliance, and corporate matters. This role involves managing complex international legal issues, protecting digital assets, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage intellectual property matters including trademark and copyright registrations across multiple jurisdictions (EU, US, international filings).
- Oversee infringement actions through cease-and-desist notices, DMCA requests, and platform complaints.
- Administer domain portfolios and digital assets, including due diligence, registrations, renewals, transfers, monitoring potential infringements, and coordination with external IP agents.
- Represent the business in domain name disputes under UDRP and URS frameworks, prepare legal documentation, and coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of commercial agreements such as licensing agreements, NDAs, SaaS contracts, API integration agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and publisher agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in iGaming, FinTech, eCommerce, data protection (including GDPR and CCPA), and cookie compliance.
- Support and maintain the corporate structure of international group entities and provide legal advice on cross-border corporate matters.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a legal role with exposure to commercial and intellectual property law.
- Proven ability to independently draft complex legal agreements from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of foreign legal systems, including legal research, statutory interpretation, and case law analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey legal risks and recommendations to non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple legal matters simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proactive in identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Strong commercial mindset balancing legal protection with business objectives.
- Experience structuring agreements to minimize intellectual property risks.
- Experience with LegalTech tools is advantageous.
- Previous experience in iGaming, FinTech, or eCommerce industries is a plus.
