Overview
This role supports the Litigation and Employment Teams by providing broad administrative and strategic assistance across the lifecycle of arbitration and litigation matters, consumer disputes, employment and workers’ compensation matters, garnishment requests, and employment subpoenas. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, timely support to Litigation Team members and other business partners on litigation and arbitration disputes related to the home warranty business and related businesses, as well as employment litigation.
- Assist the Litigation Team and broader Legal Team across all phases of litigation and arbitration matters, including matter intake, development of litigation strategy, outside counsel management, and matter resolution.
- Maintain case files and records; monitor case calendars and dockets with strong attention to detail and limited supervision.
- Manage document and data collection and related discovery projects for a variety of litigation and arbitration matters.
- Research, coordinate document productions, and prepare written responses to employment subpoenas.
- Investigate consumer disputes and analyze relevant information to prepare case analyses.
- Provide high-quality, timely support to Employment Team members and other business partners on employment and workers’ compensation matters.
- Support a range of legal projects and matters beyond litigation focus areas as needed, including commercial litigation, employment, contracts, marketing, regulatory, corporate governance, and legal operations in support of organizational priorities and legal objectives.
- Collaborate with Legal Team members to meet deadlines and support team priorities.
- Handle other projects and matters as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with disputes pending before arbitration forums and small claims courts
- Experience with labor and employment disputes
- Proficiency in using Riskonnect
Physical Role Requirements
- Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day
- Move up to 10 pounds occasionally by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects
- Sit for long periods while using office equipment such as computers and phones
- Perform repetitive motions using hands and digits (e.g., wrist/hand/finger movement for picking, pinching, and typing)
Education, Licensure & Certification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Paralegal degree preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of legal or customer relations experience required

- Base salary: $25–$28 per hour (actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location)
