Litigation Associate

Overview

An organization is seeking a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its Beaumont, Texas office. This role involves assisting with, and—based on experience—handling an active docket of matters, primarily supporting insurance defense matters while gaining exposure to the firm’s broader civil litigation practice.

Flexible work arrangements may be available and will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, practice needs, and office alignment.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
• Prepare client reports and case evaluations
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations if necessary
• Assist with case strategy and file management
• Support trial preparation and participate in trial as appropriate
• Manage deadlines across multiple active matters

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience preferred
• Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
