Litigation Attorney Champaign (0-10 Years) - Remote + Court | Central Illinois

Overview

A growing multi-state law firm is seeking an Attorney with 0 to 10 years of experience to handle family law and/or civil litigation matters in Central Illinois, including Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, and Springfield. This position is primarily remote but requires in-person court appearances approximately 2 to 3 times per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload focused on family law and/or civil litigation
• Attend local court hearings 2 to 3 times weekly
• Work with administrative and legal support staff to manage cases
• Develop increased independence in case management over time

Requirements

Experienced Attorneys (3+ years):

• Background in family law and/or civil litigation
• Ability to manage cases with growing independence

Junior Attorneys (0–3 years):

• Licensed or awaiting bar exam results
• Interest in litigation and courtroom experience
• Willingness to learn and grow through mentorship

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $75,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and workload
• Compensation tied to a self-set billable target, allowing control over workload and income
• 10% origination bonus
