A California-based law firm specializing in education and civil litigation is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney with at least five years of civil litigation experience. The firm represents individuals and families in complex disputes involving education, civil rights violations, serious injuries, and other high-stakes matters. The role involves advocating for clients in impactful cases that require both legal precision and a deep understanding of the human element.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for clients in education and civil litigation matters
- Manage cases from intake through resolution, including client consultations, legal research, discovery, administrative hearings, drafting pleadings and motions, and court appearances
- Develop innovative and strategic litigation approaches tailored to each client’s goals
- Collaborate with a dedicated legal team focused on excellence and meaningful impact
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- Minimum of five years of civil litigation experience
- Strong skills in motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trials
- Exceptional analytical, research, writing, and communication abilities
- Client-first mindset with a genuine passion for justice and advocacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in education law or related civil rights litigation is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $160,000–$220,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid work model with 2–3 days per week in-office
