Overview

A distinguished Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law Firm specializing in auto accidents, semi-trucking accidents, employment law, and sexual assault cases is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with expertise in Texas law. This role requires exceptional legal knowledge, precision, and leadership to guide and enhance the paralegal team. The Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in developing legal strategies, supervising paralegal staff, and directly supporting litigation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop foreign paralegal staff to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Independently draft and respond to discovery requests without relying on templates, creating tailored discovery strategies based on case specifics and legal requirements.
  • Prepare precise jury charges identifying critical elements for successful case outcomes and use these charges to draft petitions, complaints, and targeted discovery.
  • Draft comprehensive petitions, pleadings, and complaints for cases in state and federal courts, addressing all relevant legal elements and strategic objectives.
  • Review and analyze discovery records and evidence, draft motions to compel as necessary, and ensure accurate presentation of case information.
  • Monitor and adhere to all court deadlines and statutes to guarantee timely and error-free submission of legal documents.
  • Assemble comprehensive trial binders and prepare materials to support attorneys in court proceedings.
  • Draft legal motions applying in-depth analysis and clear articulation of legal arguments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience specializing in Texas Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law with substantial exposure to complex litigation.
  • Proven ability to independently draft and respond to discovery requests and develop tailored legal strategies.
  • Skilled in crafting jury charges and aligning petitions and discovery with key case elements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to train, supervise, and inspire junior and foreign paralegals.
  • Comfortable and effective working fully remotely while maintaining high performance and accountability.
