Overview

A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Reno office. While the position is based in Reno, fully remote candidates will be considered, with preference given to those located in or near Reno. This is a full-time role requiring prior paralegal experience, preferably within a large law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and other professional staff.
  • Support attorneys by drafting pleadings, efiling documents, conducting factual and legal research, reviewing and analyzing documents, preparing productions, and assisting with hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Review, gather, and organize client documents from production through discovery.
  • Assist in preparing pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Provide general office support including maintaining and organizing files, scanning and copying documents, managing calendars, preparing expense reports, and coordinating meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal degree or certificate required.
  • Prior experience in Civil Commercial Litigation.
  • Experience with litigation support, case management, and new matter intake processes.
  • Familiarity with Nevada State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Experience with court efiling systems for both state (eFile Nevada) and federal jurisdictions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, adapt to changing work environments, and maintain professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience drafting and organizing discovery, including written discovery and document production.
  • Experience with eDiscovery litigation support software such as Summation Pro or Relativity is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
