Overview
A legal team is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 2-3 years of experience to support attorneys in commercial litigation matters. The role involves case and volume portfolio management, discovery, document management, and preparation of litigation materials. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, technology-savvy, and eager to develop litigation skills while providing reliable support to attorneys, clients, and the legal team. Experience or interest in AI applications in the legal field is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys and litigation teams with day-to-day case management tasks, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and preparing legal materials.
- Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, exhibits, and other case-related documents.
- Assist with data collection, organization, and tracking related to litigation matters, including maintaining case information, discovery materials, document inventories, deadlines, and status reports.
- Provide support during the discovery process, including document collection, review, organization, production preparation, and tracking.
- Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and other litigation materials under attorney supervision.
- Assist with deposition preparation by organizing documents, preparing exhibits, compiling case materials, and supporting attorneys administratively and logistically.
- Maintain electronic case files and assist with litigation databases and document management platforms, including Relativity or similar systems.
- Support attorneys with hearing and case preparation by organizing exhibits, assembling case materials, and maintaining accurate litigation records.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare legal documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and case-related materials.
- Assist with electronic filing procedures in Boston, Massachusetts state and federal courts, maintaining awareness of court rules, filing requirements, and deadlines.
- Conduct basic legal research, fact-checking, and citation review to assist attorneys in preparing accurate legal documents.
- Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and learn new litigation processes and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Education:
- Undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate required; candidates with comparable relevant legal experience may be considered in lieu of a paralegal certificate.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with attorneys, clients, and firm personnel at all levels.
- Highly organized with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Independent, proactive, and able to adapt to shifting priorities.

- Excellent case management skills, including organizing, tracking, and managing labor and employment cases.
- Experience obtaining, reviewing, summarizing, and indexing case records and documents.
- Skilled in preparing and serving subpoenas, managing discovery, coordinating document production, and responding to interrogatories.
- Experience scheduling depositions, preparing deposition materials and exhibits, and coordinating expert witness preparation.
- Ability to draft and prepare basic litigation pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other legal documents under attorney direction.
- Proficient with litigation databases and software such as Relativity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience assisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks.
- Solid understanding of Civil Procedure Rules, including Federal and Georgia State-specific rules.
- Proficient in Georgia State and Federal court rules, including electronic filing systems (e.g., Odyssey) and local court practices.
- Strong writing, proofreading, fact-checking, and legal citation skills (including blue booking).

Compensation & Benefits
- This is a non-exempt position.
- Hourly wage range: $35.70 to $43.27 per hour.
- Estimated annual compensation range: $74,250 to $90,000 (based on a 40-hour workweek).
- Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and other factors.
