Overview
This role is for a Review Associate who is an attorney with document review experience, supporting managed document review services for clients involved in litigation and investigation matters. The position is temporary and project-based.
Responsibilities
- Perform efficient and accurate first-level review of documents for relevance, privilege, confidentiality, issues, redactions, and other project-specific topics.
- Assist with quality control review of coding decisions made by the first-level review team and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with Review Managers and Senior Review Associates to execute and implement review strategies.
- Identify substantive and procedural queries and communicate them to Review Managers.
- Utilize managed review technology and workflows effectively.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a document review attorney with a review provider or law firm.
- Experience with document review for complex financial services and pharmaceutical clients is preferred.
- Ability to manage complex review workflows while meeting accuracy targets, project timelines, and budget constraints.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of the litigation discovery process and objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and technical aptitude.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Relativity, Brainspace, Blackout, or comparable platforms.
- Experience implementing matter-tailored quality control measures across various discovery matters.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a typical office environment at a desk or computer workstation.
- Requires the ability to use a computer, communicate by telephone, and read printed materials in a quiet, professional setting.
- May require being on call periodically and working outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
