Overview
A national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 2–6 years of experience to join its Business and Technology Transactions practice. This position offers flexibility to be based in any of the firm’s major offices, including Baltimore, Chicago, Ohio, New York, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia.
Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial and technology agreements such as SaaS, licensing, procurement, outsourcing, ecommerce, and payment processing contracts.
- Advise clients on strategic business and technology initiatives with practical, solution-oriented guidance.
- Support clients with ongoing commercial advisory work, pre-litigation disputes, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas and offices to provide comprehensive counsel to national and multinational clients.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- 2–6 years of experience practicing in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience or interest in ecommerce, logistics, software, and emerging technologies.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is based.
