Overview
A small to mid-size law firm with a national presence and a fully remote practice model is seeking a Multi-State Associate Attorney. The firm supports attorneys working from home offices or co-working spaces across the United States, with experienced paralegals and a centralized operations staff primarily based at headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage cases from intake through resolution
- Develop and execute legal strategies based on factual investigation and legal analysis
- Maintain substantive communications with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments
- Appear at hearings and trials as necessary

- Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement
- Administrative appeals
- Civil litigation
- Probate and estate claims
- Guardianships
Prior experience in one or more of these areas is preferred.
Work Model & Schedule
- Full-time W-2 position
- Regular business hours, Monday–Friday, aligned to the attorney's U.S. time zone
- Fully remote with limited travel for hearings, proceedings, and firm events
- Structured support with autonomy in day-to-day practice
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience
- Active licensure in two or more of the following states: CA, FL, MA, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA, WA (other active licensure will also be considered)
- Note: Florida-licensed attorneys must reside outside Florida
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
- High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability
- Persistent, resourceful, and proactive problem-solving skills
- Confidence to manage cases from start to finish
- Ability to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings, meetings, and other events
Technical Proficiency
- Mac/Apple operating systems
- Microsoft Office 365
- Adobe Acrobat
- Timekeeping and case management software
- Legal research applications
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and licensure
