Online Safety Product Counsel

Overview

A Fortune 50 technology company is seeking a lawyer for a 6-12 month full-time remote engagement starting as soon as possible. This role involves providing legal support at the intersection of product, legal, policy, and compliance for consumer-facing products used globally, including by teens. The ideal candidate will have deep experience advising on youth safety initiatives, Trust & Safety matters, and regulatory readiness related to emerging global youth regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to product teams on Trust & Safety and youth-related product initiatives
• Counsel product, business, and policy stakeholders on teen safety, age-appropriate design, online safety, and youth-focused regulatory requirements
• Advise on the development, launch, and operation of consumer-facing product features, balancing legal risk with business objectives
• Provide guidance on privacy, data use, content moderation, platform integrity, and user safety matters
• Support regulatory readiness and compliance initiatives related to global youth safety and online platform regulations
• Partner closely with product, engineering, policy, privacy, compliance, and Trust & Safety teams to implement practical, risk-based solutions
• Monitor and advise on evolving youth and online safety regulatory frameworks across key global jurisdictions

Requirements

• Ability to work full-time remotely
• Agreement to be employed (W-2) by a workforce solutions company for the duration of the engagement
• Willingness to review and comply with the company's Confidential Information and Inventions Assignment

Compensation & Duration

• Duration: 6-12 months
• Schedule: Full-time
• Location: Remote
• Compensation: $17,500 - $19,000 per month, flexible based on experience
