Overview
A dedicated humanitarian immigration law firm, established in 2020, is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their team. The firm focuses on providing support to individuals and families seeking safety, stability, and legal pathways to remain united. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful immigration advocacy and client care.
Responsibilities
- Review draft immigration court-related filings (EOIR), including motions and briefs, following instructions from senior attorneys
- Identify, track, and make necessary edits prior to submission of court filings and legal documents
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding edits and updates to filings, motions, and briefs
- Meet daily goals for reviewing cases, including handling a high volume of court-related matters
- Perform legal research on immigration law topics relevant to court proceedings
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Experience with case management software preferred
- Interest in immigration law preferred
- Proficiency with computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, Dropbox, and MS Outlook
- Commitment to supporting individuals living in the U.S. to obtain legal documents and maintain family unity
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM local time
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 - $69,750 USD per year
