Overview
A legal staffing organization is seeking a Workers Compensation Paralegal with experience in Pennsylvania (PA) and New Jersey (NJ) for a remote engagement position supporting a full-service defense litigation firm. The role requires at least 5 years of experience assisting attorneys in defending workers’ compensation claims. Strong written and oral advocacy skills are essential. This is a fully remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the defense of workers’ compensation claims
- Prepare pleadings and discovery documents
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Manage multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced law firm environment
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of workers’ compensation defense experience
- Experience preparing pleadings and discovery
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
- Superior written and oral advocacy skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under deadlines
- Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range: $70,000 - $90,000 (full-time equivalent)
- Pay is based on factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market demand, and candidate preference
- Contract professionals are typically W2 employees eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week
- Benefits include Group Life, Long-Term Disability (LTD), Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and a qualified 401(k) plan
- Eligible contract professionals also receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Professional Expense stipends
