Overview

This role involves supporting attorneys in the defense of workers’ compensation claims as a Workers Compensation Paralegal with experience in both Pennsylvania (PA) and New Jersey (NJ). The engagement is fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the defense of workers’ compensation claims
  • Prepare pleadings and discovery
  • Provide strong written and oral advocacy support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience
  • Experience preparing pleadings and discovery
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Superior written and oral advocacy skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
  • Outstanding references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: Annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $70,000 - $90,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.
  • Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
