Overview
This role performs a variety of law-related tasks, including legal research, drafting legal documents, and related duties. Work assignments vary and often require interpretation and independent judgment to determine appropriate next steps.
The Paralegal 2 supports the Pharmacy and PBM Legal Sub-team in managing a growing volume of commercial contract work. The role requires understanding department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including how they connect to related areas.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy and PBM Legal Sub-team with commercial contract matters
- Conduct legal research
- Draft legal documents and other related materials
- Make decisions regarding own work methods, including in occasionally ambiguous situations
- Manage assignments with minimal direction, using guidance as needed
- Understand and align work with department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Effective interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Professional, and Lexis/Nexis
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Proven organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities within designated time frames; ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate legal or compliance department, or law firm, with exposure to PBM, pharmacy, or healthcare-related commercial contracts
- Under supervision from assigned attorneys, experience reviewing and analyzing commercial agreements, amendments, non-disclosure agreements, and related documents
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws, the pharmaceutical supply chain, or pharmacy benefit management operations
Work at Home Requirements
- Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must have self-provided internet that meets the following minimum criteria:

- Wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required may not be sufficient for business needs

- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel
- Remote position with occasional travel to the employer’s offices for training or meetings

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range
- $71,100 - $97,800 per year
- The pay range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
- Pay may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay varies based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
Incentive Plan
