Overview

This position provides data management and case organization support to attorneys and paralegals. The role supports data handling, document saving, and database maintenance while adhering to established security standards. It may be filled remotely or in one of the organization’s office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, organize, store, and analyze incoming data efficiently while upholding agreed-upon security standards.
  • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Maintain and manage a database.
  • Communicate with team members regarding data changes and requirements.
  • Download and save documents into NetDocs.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with adopting legal AI and be able to learn and implement new AI tools (preferred).

Essential Job Functions

  • Uphold agreed-upon security standards at all times.
  • Ensure data accuracy by identifying inconsistencies or anomalies.
  • Keep database information current and properly organized.
  • Support team workflows through clear communication about data changes and requirements.
  • Ensure documents are properly downloaded and saved into NetDocs.
  • Maintain a billable requirement of 1000 hours.

Requirements

  • Two years litigation experience (mandatory).
  • Ability to deliver superior service to internal and external customers and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients and employees at all times; professional appearance required.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing business demands.
  • Ability to produce acceptable quality work efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound, practical decisions; act decisively under deadlines.
  • High level of professional integrity; maintain confidentiality and build trust.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others when applicable, including performance evaluation, goal-setting, employee development, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic court filings.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Asbestos experience.
  • Familiarity and experience adopting legal AI and the ability to learn and implement new AI tools.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

Expected compensation ranges by location:

  • State of California: $47,000 - $96,000
  • State of Colorado: $43,000 - $77,000
  • State of Connecticut: $37,000 - $94,000
  • State of Illinois: $42,000 - $82,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $51,000 - $92,000
  • State of Maine: $32,000 - $73,000
  • State of Maryland: $45,000 - $69,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $47,000 - $90,000
  • State of Minnesota: $47,000 - $77,000
  • State of New York: $44,000 - $94,000
  • State of Virginia: $30,000 - $89,000
  • State of Vermont: $46,000 - $89,000
  • State of Washington: $45,000 - $86,000
  • Washington, DC: $60,000 - $89,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance.
