Overview

This position supports attorneys and paralegals by assisting with data management and case organization. The role may be filled remotely, through a virtual office, or in any of the organization’s office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with managing data and organizing cases.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage, organize, store, and analyze incoming data efficiently while upholding agreed-upon security standards.
  • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Maintain a database.
  • Communicate with team members about data changes and requirements.
  • Download and save documents into NetDocs.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and experience with adopting legal AI and the ability to learn and implement new AI (preferred).
  • Meet a billable requirement of 1000 hours.

  • Ability to lead and motivate others; when applicable, manage direct report(s), including performance evaluation, goal-setting, employee development, and problem-solving.

Position-Specific Requirements

  • Two years litigation experience (mandatory).
  • Asbestos experience (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic court filings.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

Expected compensation ranges by location:

  • State of California: $47,000 - $96,000
  • State of Colorado: $43,000 - $77,000
  • State of Connecticut: $37,000 - $94,000
  • State of Illinois: $42,000 - $82,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $51,000 - $92,000
  • State of Maine: $32,000 - $73,000
  • State of Maryland: $45,000 - $69,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $47,000 - $90,000
  • State of Minnesota: $47,000 - $77,000
  • State of New York: $44,000 - $94,000
  • State of Virginia: $30,000 - $89,000
  • State of Vermont: $46,000 - $89,000
  • State of Washington: $45,000 - $86,000
  • Washington, DC: $60,000 - $89,000

The listed salaries do not include a discretionary bonus. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance.
