Overview
A full-service litigation and business law firm with multiple U.S. locations is seeking a Paralegal Assistant. This role supports attorneys and paralegals by managing data and case organization. The position may be remote or based in any of the firm's offices.
Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, store, and analyze incoming data efficiently while maintaining security standards.
- Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Maintain and update databases.
- Communicate data changes and requirements with team members.
- Download and save documents into document management systems.
- Utilize and learn legal AI tools to assist with tasks.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.
- Meet a billable hour requirement of 1000 hours annually.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years litigation experience required.
- Experience with asbestos litigation preferred.
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with electronic court filings.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing business needs.
- High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lead and motivate others, including managing direct reports when applicable.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation varies by location, skills, and experience. Expected salary ranges by location include:
- California: $57,000 - $79,000
- Colorado: $49,000 - $68,000
- Illinois: $54,000 - $75,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $50,000 - $60,000
- Maryland: $47,000 - $59,000
- Massachusetts: $57,000 - $79,000
- Minnesota: $48,000 - $60,000
- New York: $55,000 - $66,000
- Washington State: $51,000 - $62,000
- Washington, DC: $59,000 - $71,000
Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses based on individual and firm performance.
