Overview

A partner company in the electronic design automation sector is seeking a Paralegal Associate to support their legal team. This role involves assisting with litigation, investigations, and legal program management.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day litigation and investigation matters, including document management and coordination with internal teams and outside counsel
  • Administer legal holds, including issuance, tracking, and release
  • Assist with data preservation and collection for litigation, investigations, and insider-threat matters
  • Operate eDiscovery platforms and tools, including matter setup, data organization, running searches, data transfers to outside counsel, and production support
  • Help manage ongoing legal programs such as document retention, open-source governance, and DMCA takedowns
  • Maintain accurate matter records, logs, and documentation
  • Coordinate with IT, Compliance, Security, and HR to ensure consistent execution of legal processes
  • Perform other administrative duties as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in a paralegal, litigation support, or related role
  • Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms and tools
  • Working knowledge of legal holds, document management, and data preservation concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an in-house legal department or law firm
  • Exposure to technology companies or data-intensive environments
  • Familiarity with document retention programs, open-source compliance, or compliance-driven workflows

Compensation

  • Salary range: $63,000 to $95,000 annually
