Overview

A leading provider of supply chain software solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support the Legal Department. This role involves managing contract processes, maintaining legal records, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing practical legal support to the business. The position requires collaboration with attorneys and cross-functional teams to reduce risk and improve efficiency within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, revise, and process routine commercial agreements such as NDAs, SOWs, amendments, renewals, and vendor agreements using approved templates and clause libraries.
  • Identify non-standard terms, legal risks, or approval exceptions and escalate issues requiring attorney review.
  • Coordinate contract workflows, approvals, signatures, and communications throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Maintain contract records, repositories, metadata, renewal schedules, and other lifecycle management activities to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining legal templates, standard forms, playbooks, knowledge resources, and process documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine legal process questions and guide employees on Legal Department intake procedures.
  • Support attorney-directed legal matters including matter tracking, document collection, research coordination, compliance initiatives, corporate governance, investigations, and dispute support.
  • Organize and maintain legal department records, matter files, policies, corporate documents, and correspondence while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Proactively identify legal, operational, compliance, confidentiality, and process risks and communicate concerns to legal counsel.
  • Support legal operations and department administration through process improvements, reporting, workflow optimization, document execution, and task management.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, bachelor's degree, JD, or equivalent combination of education and relevant legal experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably within an in-house corporate legal department.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts and related legal documentation.
  • Strong understanding of legal confidentiality, attorney-client privilege, ethical obligations, and escalation practices.
  • Excellent written communication, proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and risk-identification skills with the ability to recognize when attorney guidance is needed.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management, e-signature, matter management, document management, and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting software, SaaS, technology, supply chain, logistics, or other commercial contracting environments.
  • Experience working with global or multi-jurisdictional legal teams and supporting international business operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience, performance, and internal equity.
