Paralegal

Overview

A leading organization in the blockchain and decentralized finance sector is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join their legal team. This role involves supporting legal operations related to blockchain technology, decentralized finance, regulatory compliance, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with legal team members to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to company operations.
• Assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts with external parties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct research and stay informed on regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Provide legal guidance and support to internal teams in day-to-day operations.
• Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, preferably with experience using Synaps or similar platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; a paralegal certificate is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably with exposure to decentralized finance and blockchain-related legal work.
• Strong understanding of legal principles, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with legal considerations related to blockchain technology and smart contracts, along with a general understanding of the technology.
• Proficiency with compliance platforms.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks precisely.
• Ability to adapt quickly to the evolving regulatory landscape in decentralized finance and blockchain.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive legal matters.
