Overview
A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its San Diego office. While prior litigation-focused paralegal experience is preferred, applicants of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and other professional staff.
- Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, conducting factual and legal research, reviewing and analyzing documents, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
- Research, organize, and summarize records to assist in data gathering, including managing information and documents in databases.
- Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses.
- Support trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses and vendor requests, and providing live trial support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in litigation support and case management.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and manage multiple cases while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience drafting and organizing discovery, including written discovery and document production.
- Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
- Familiarity with State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Experience with litigation support software such as Summation Pro, Relativity, or comparable tools.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $45,000 to $100,000, with actual salary based on skills, training, experience, and location.
